چکیده
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is caused by the dengue virus which transmitted through bite of Aedes aegypti mosquito. Prevention DHF can be done using larvicides. Synthetic chemical larvicides are considered to have side effects in long-term use and cause environmental pollution. So we need an alternative with natural ingredients from plants, namely Japanese Papaya plants. This study aims determine effectiveness (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) leaf extract on mortality larvae. type research uses experimental design. used 6 treatments 4 repetitions consisting control without treatment, P1 (0.2%), P2 (0.4%), P3 (0.6%), P4 (0.8%), P5 (1%). Observations were made for 48 hours. From results obtained LC50 1.095%. The statistical tests One-Way ANOVA showed that there was a significant effect mosquito larvae.

AIMS This study focused on the possible protective effect of Cnidoscolus aconitifolius leaf extract (CA) against hepatic damage induced by chronic ethanol administration in rats. METHODS Male Wistar rats were distributed into seven groups of six rats each. The first group was the control, second group received 20% ethanol-only (7.9 g/kg), third and fourth groups were pre-treated with CA (100 ...
متن کاملSchinus terebinthifolius Leaf Extract Causes Midgut Damage, Interfering with Survival and Development of Aedes aegypti Larvae
In this study, a leaf extract from Schinus terebinthifolius was evaluated for effects on survival, development, and midgut of A. aegypti fourth instar larvae (L4), as well as for toxic effect on Artemia salina. Leaf extract was obtained using 0.15 M NaCl and evaluated for phytochemical composition and lectin activity. Early L4 larvae were incubated with the extract (0.3-1.35%, w/v) for 8 days, ...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the larvicidal activity of Azadirachta indica, Melaleuca alternifolia, carapa guianensis essential oils and fermented extract of Carica papaya against Aedes aegypti (Linnaeus, 1762) (Diptera: Culicidae). METHODS The larvicide test was performed in triplicate with 300 larvae for each experimental group using the third larval stage, which were exposed for 24h. The groups wer...
